These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StyleOCR application ("App"). The App is a compact OCR and document conversion tool that turns images and PDFs into editable documents on your device. Please read these Terms carefully before you use the App.
StyleOCR is built for offline, on-device use. You are responsible for the files you process, for complying with applicable laws, and for keeping your own backups of important work.
Acceptance. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must also comply with any rules imposed by the platform or app store from which you obtained the App (for example, the Apple App Store).
The Service. StyleOCR helps you convert common image and PDF formats (such as JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, and PDF) into documents such as Word, Markdown, Excel, and other formats the App may support. Features, supported formats, and export options may change as we update the App. Processing is performed on your device in line with our Privacy Policy; we do not operate the App as a hosted cloud processing service for your documents.
License to You. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the App except where applicable law expressly allows despite this limitation.
Your Content and Conduct. You retain rights to the images, PDFs, and other files you process with the App. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to use that content. You agree not to use the App for unlawful purposes or to process content you are not allowed to use. OCR and layout reconstruction are inherently imperfect; you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, and for maintaining backups of originals and important exports.
Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. Because the App is designed to work offline with data kept on your device, we do not collect or upload your documents as described there. If you contact us by email, we will handle that communication in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Purchases and Third-Party Terms. If the App offers paid features or subscriptions, payment and renewal are handled by the applicable app store or platform. Refunds and billing disputes are subject to that platform's policies. Those platforms are third parties; their terms may apply in addition to these Terms.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability. The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that OCR results will be accurate or complete for your use case. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we (and our licensors) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App.
Termination and Changes. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or updates where permitted by law or platform rules. We may update these Terms from time to time; we will indicate changes by updating the "Last Updated" date on this page and, where appropriate, through the App or website. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
